I just got a Sharp 903 from Taiwan. So I guess the firmware is the HK one. I sent a mp3 song from my Motorola Razor to my 903 via bluebooth without problems. I can play the mp3 song from my 903, but the phone won't let me set the mp3 song as a ringtone. Do I need to convert the file?
Also, how can I increase the ringtone volume? The level 5 still seems to be too quiet for me. Can someone walk me through this? I have done some search already, still no help.. Thanks.

1: All mp3 songs should be placed on the phone's internal memory. You need to copy/move your mp3 song to the phone's memory. The song should be with permanent bit rate with max of 192 kbps (not VBR) and sometimes it should not exceed some certain size. If it still doesn't play, you probably have a japaness fw and all you can do is to convert mp3 files to ACC of MMF or use SD Audio (you need orignal Panasonic Card reader for that + Jukebox. Also this files have much better sound quality).
2. You can turn off the surround feature. It will increase the sound a bit. Second option is to use some programs, like Sony Forge, and increase the sound of the mp3 song manually.
3. As far as I know phones with HK fw have louder sound than the same with Japaness or Euro. If you have HK fw, you shouldn't have a problem with a sound quality.
Hope it helps!
