hello,
I came across this article today on mobile.burn.com. How big do you think the screen is on this phone? And I think if the screen is about the same size and battery life is good..,it will beat the sx1...
heres the link

all I can say is WOW

Posted by: carsmovies

Nice phone but I don't think the screen is as big as on the SX1. Also, it doesn't have FM radio and natural sound speaker. The only thing it has on the SX1 is it's size.

I think it is Natural Sound Speaker. As you can see, the phone plays both Polyphonic 40, Wav, and Mp3 as the Ringtone...Now if you have Mp3 play back,,im assuming its descent speaker, its not going to play through the cheap phone speaker, they have to have a natural speaker..Also for the speaker phone, all the specifications are not released yet about this phone, so, We'll see whats there to come.. Also found another aarticle with more information...

The way I read it is it can play MP3 on it's speaker but only 40 cord polyphonic ringtones.

The SX1 can play MP3 for ringtones as well.

yes, youre right, it does say it can play mp3 not ringtone...
but where does it say about sx1 that mp3 can be used as ringtone on it? i dont think thats true..only wav files can be ring tones currently.

Yeah despite all the goodies, its still a Samsung.

<sarcasm>AMAZING.</sarcasm> one of the first samsung phones to have BT. did those fools finally learn?

Posted by: mantis5

Even though I am unlikely to buy a clamshell phone, I am happy to see another series 60 phone coming to market. Means more applications. Series 60 is the Next Big Thing! Run, Microsoft, Run! HAHAHA

I could go on an write a book on how this fone is not even close to being as good as the SX1 but won't... I think everyone in this room knows how I feel about it I have had many many problems with Samsung and not the only one who has either. I find their fones very unstable and full of problems... but as for their smart fone... I have said if before and I will say it again... when the SX1 is released it will be the the best smart fone wait let me change that... it will be the best mobile fone on the market hands down... it truely is the uncrowned king.

Posted by: DaGreatOne

After watching the movie they released,,im pretty sure SX1 looks better!

Posted by: Synncere

When the SX1 is officially released it will reign supreme over every fone that will currently be on the market at that time. I have seen more people turn to Siemens over the past 6 months than ever before. With fones like the C55/56, & s55/56 that have become very popular and the forthcoming SL55 and M55 there are more people looking at a Siemens fone and saying "WOW!"
They are this years biggest fones for Siemens and with the Grand Daddy of them all the SX1 it's gonna be great! I know many many people who have never used a Siemens but have seen the SX1 and want that above all other mobiles. Out of all the new Series 60 smart fones I have to give it to Siemens they have really designed the best fone esthetically aswell as feature wise

im definately going for the SX1 over the samsung, the samsung doesnt even have bluetooth....i love the design of the sx1,i refuse to use a normal keypad ever again!

Posted by: Synncere

Maybe it's just me... I don't know,
But...
I have used the Samsung S100, V205 and S300... I had problems with all 3. I really don't trust Samsung... I just hate to think of what bugs their smartfone is going to have. I know that's being presumptuous but from my experiences with their fones I feel justified in saying that

Posted by: mognet

Whats the point of the rotating screen anyways?

Posted by: DaGreatOne

I guess you can rotate it and fold it down, so it covers the keypad but shows the screen. So, its easier to take pictures unlike V200.

I have met many people who also have had numerous probs also... it seems that alot of them are firmware based tho... Personally I choose not to use their mobiles anymore bur that's neither here nor there lol. Back to Siemens stuff
See ya in the forums

Posted by: Kanon

tho their CDMA fones work pretty well ^^

Posted by: Shawncarter

I ve used almost every phonecompany that there is availble in Europe. and i have to say: i never used a siemens. But im going to buy the Sx1, i just love that phone. On this moment if i have to say what is the best mobilephone i would say, that it would be a Samsung. I never ever had problems with theire phones, SE is a close second. But i`ve had so many clamshells that i want a normal phone now. So thats going to be the Sx1. But i just wanted to say that Samsung do make real good phones. theire build quality is superb and theire colordisplays are one of the best of all mobilephones. But enough, Lets just hope that the Sx1 screen will be Samsung quality .

Posted by: carsmovies

Yea but as Synncere said the problem with Samsungs is not the build quality but the software.

Posted by: Shawncarter

that can be true because i dont use Java alot. I just use my Samsungs for calling and Sms. I never had software problems, but i dont know if more people have had it, then im just glad that i`m not one of them

what about this:

http://www.imobile.com.au/Future/de...D=futureapr0309

between this, SX1, and a few others its going to be VERY hard to make a choice.

note: evaluate it on features NOT if you like the Palm OS.

Interesting... too bad no bluetooth, and only Class 8 GPRS. Of course not everyone needs those features.

Posted by: Killa-b

yea lack of BT is a problem, but you can always just use a SD card.

and for 90% of us our providers dont support anything past 50kbps.

Please excuse my ignorance but what do you mean?

Posted by: Killa-b

well you can get a BT SD card ie:

http://www.palm.com/products/access...ards/bluetooth/

and that would fix the BT issue.
