Just locked them to 2G and all it's problems went away. I do the same with the CU400 as well, hopefully the CU575 will be able to be locked to 2G until we're converted in our market. The V3 should've been put to pasture a LONG time ago... It's a perfect example of Form over Function.... which is probably why it still sells I've noticed that the good phones don't seem to last long as well.... Anyone else think it's ODD that we only have 2 Nokia phones (if you're an agent... COR only has 1). I can remember times where we had 4-6 different Nokia models. High level Corporate bean counters suck |

I've heard that they were outing all 2G phones. Do know the timeframe, but it looks to be drawing near. |

Nokia still claims that the whole "retro" race was won long ago with their 3650. LG was unable to be reached for comment. |

My city doesn't even have 3G yet I'm in a relatively large city in Texas

I read in CSP under the Product Advisory Guide that some of the 6682 phones can't read a 3G sim card and gets an error. The only way to fix it is to use the 2G sim. Hopefully mine isn't like that My city doesn't even have 3G yet I'm in a relatively large city in Texas ![]() |

I might be forced to one day though, who knows.... I think I'm gonna try to stock up on 2G sim cards, haha |

There is also a 3g "flag" enabled as well, but doubt thats causing a problem. I can use (very) old 2g sims in my A845 Motorola handset just fine. I have also used 3g sims in a 2g MDA (8125/Wizard) with no issues. When we launched the Dallas market we were using 2g sims because thats all we had. My current ones are "white" so couldn't tell you which they are -- but most likely 64Ks. If you can find a 32K sim with your network code it might work for you. |
anyway, i'll post back with results..
