Firmware upgrade even though product code different?

I just got a used N73, and its functions are a little slow to boot. I figured I should upgrade the firmware to the newest one and see what happens. I noticed in another thread that there is a version 4 out, but when I searched for firmware for my phone is it only a version 3.0704.1.0.1
I of course have a differnt product code, so is it still safe to install the version 4 on my phone?

Be prepared, cus I will have a lot more questions, haha.

I had an N73 from Hong Kong. I changed the product code to Euro 1 and updated the firmware with no problems.

You just need to be careful with the pop-port data cable. That connection isnt too sturdy. Any movement can cause a disconnection, which would lead to a dead phone. Once you start a firmware update, just walk away for 30 minutes and let it work.

I did the same thing Dr_Tran did with my N73 (APAC) using Euro1 product code to get the latest vanilla N73 firmware.
