Can't Sync.....

So the other day I upgraded to the latest version of iTunes and now I cannot sync my iPhone with my computer. It doesn't appear in iTunes at all. I've tried the repair option with iTunes, I've turned off and then turned back on my phone, and also restarted my computer. Any thoughts on why I can't get it to sync?
P.S. I am using Windows Vista.
