Nokia 3360 (Woohoo...first post)

I have the Nokia 3360. I used to have the 8260 but I think the 3360 is a better phone for me.

The 8260 is just too small for me. Also the lack of IR, PC sync, and faceplates was too much.

I've had no major problems with the 3360 and I know it's only until I can get onto ATTWS GSM this year.

Here's my full review of the 3360 on howardchui.com...I just didn't want to copy the entire thing here! 3360 review

Mainly because of the price I think this phone is the best deal out there right now.

i recently upgraded (?) as well... HATE the 3360... it's on ebay... prefer the 8260

the 3360 does improve on a lot of things, but i think my main reason for hating it is because i am so used to the 8260... i find myself shortcutting to nowhere on the 3360 - out of habit

"The software is slightly buggy with the biggest culprit the shortcut to write an SMS message (Menu 1-1). It just doesn't work!"

Umm, that's because I think 1-1 is for the PrePaid Menu (disabled of course). You just hit Menu key three times to write an SMS message.

To continue, 10 is Services (which is it's browser)
11 - PrePaid Menu
12 - Field Test
13 - NO 13, due to the fact that you type that and you're in your inbox!

~~~
And, with a simple software update, PICTURE messages!!
Of course, I'm still running on V.104
I LOVE my 3360... great phone!
You get the latest firmware 2.06 with a lithium battery and you will change your tune real quick. This phone is simply the best phone out there for the price hands down.
With the lithium battery( as I stated on my other posts) make it much, much lighter. The software is very solid and I noticed that the keypads are somewhat raised compared to the older phones.
These were all big issues in the past regarding the 3360.
In summary. Cnet Wireless rates this phone a 7 without the latest firmware and lithium battery. You have to wonder what it would rate now.
It's a solid phone.
Can anyone help me to be able to sync info via IR, from my palm organizer to my 3360, as well as be able to connect to an ISP on my palm with the phone acting as a modem. Thank you.
