i have never owned a blackberry b4 and im stuck between the curve and the pearl.

i need the phone to have a fast convenient way to go online to check email and be able to play movies and mp3's.

i know the pearl come in 3 different colors ... so im wondering if anyone knows if blackberry is deciding to come out with any other colors for the curve?

also could anyone tell me if the curve has video recording? because i know the pearl does not.

The curve its newer and better...Also a wifi curve just got approved by the FCC so it should be out soon on T-mobile...

the pearl's keyboard will drive you nuts: a multitap qwerty......
go with the curve

The Curve's keyboard is MUCH more nicer than the Pearl's keyboard. It looks thinner, has a bigger screen with apparently a much better resolution as well. I'd go with curve.

Suretype on the Pearl takes some time to get used to. Once you get used to it, typing/texting won't be difficult.

The qwerty keypad on the Curve is probably easier to get use overall. If you email a lot, the curve might be a better choice.

I've owned both phones and I prefer the Curve. The Pearl is still a good phone though.

does anyone know if the curve will be coming out with other colors

l haven't heard any news about the bb curve coming out in different colors

I hope it does come in different colours eventaully, I'm not so hot for the silver. I prefer business black myself.
Anyway, there is one simple rule with Suretype. It will be faster then T9, but will never be as fast as a QWERTY keyboard. If you get frustrated by T9, or do a huge amount of emailing/IMing/texting/web browsing, then the curve is for you. If, on the other hand, you value a small phone that is still very capable and will never seem unruly in size, the Pearl is your best bet.
