visual voicemail cannot connect. What should I do??

My visual voicemail says that it cannot connect. I can't even set it up. I tried calling Att and they sent me to an apple representative. The apple rep said that it was because the visual voicemail code (or feature) was probably not added to my account . I actually don't believe this considering the iPhone plan takes care of all of these features. But anyways I called Att again so they can add the feature. Apparently i had it already so the lady took the feature off and put t back on agan and still no luck, what should I do guys, reset the phone?? Any help would be greatly appreciated

yeah, usually resetting the phone using the MENU & the topright button is a solution to most problems on the iPhone.

Also, try going to your settings and entering the correct password "Change Voicemail Password" in the phone setting.

Have someone leave you a voicemail to see if it works.

if all else fails restore your phone.

forgive me for asking but how in the world do i reset the phone by using the home menu button. And what kind of reset is this?? Soft reset? Is the hard reset the equivalent of the restore function located on itunes?? I wonder if this visual voicemail issue is common on the iphone

Call AT&T. Ask them to take off all your data-plans and reinstate just the iphone data plan. Most of them seem to realize what to do in case of visual voicemail not being able to connect.

I had the same issue.. ATT (of course) had not applied the voicemail profile to my account.. on the phone about ten minutes and all fixed.

Yea i know i did that, they took off my data plans and reinstated it. I also did a complete "restore" of the phone. And when the phone asks you to enter your voicemail password it still says it can't connect!?! It's just upsetting after you spend $600+ on something. You would at LEAST think they'd get a simple feature such as VM right? Any other suggestions? I'm calling them again right now...?

that happened to me.... turns out att removed my iphone plan and i had been using pay per KB data and my bill will be $700 this month .. but they promised they would pay since it was their problem.

Call Customer Service again (maybe again and again and again) and get someone in the technical dept.

Ask to speak to someone who can help you, not the CS rep in this case.

I have gone thru another technical issue that you could not imagine--required 5 CS reps, 2 managers, 3 resolutions, 1 PERFECT TECH and HER TEAM who resolved it (loved her) ... in 4 days ... anyway, CALL (again)!
