Hey Guys, my girfriend just bought herself the new Blackberry 8830, and its her first smartphone. Nonetheless, she loves it of course.
However, I would like to know is there a way to HACK the text "sms" feature so you can send more than 140 characters per text? I know with gsm versions of the famouse mobile devise you're able to send up to 980 characters/ text which is about 7 messages in total. I had the palm treo, and i was able to download a hack which was called palm threading. But i realized that the Blackberry already does threading, it just caps the amout of characters you can send.
And for those who may ask why in the world would you want to send more than 140 characters per text, and why not just send an e-mail. Reason is, sometimes you just want to send a small story as a text to your friends who don't have data, and the story is just more than the usual 140 characters.
Please help someone.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry7250/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/109)
AFAIK, this cannot be done on CDMA versions of Blackberry.
