Do any of the major providers (AT&T, T-Mobile) actually carry any of the Sony Ericsson phones? Or, as I suspect, do I have to buy an unlocked phone and choose a GSM carrier?

I love what the SE phones offer, but cannot find any of them on any of the major carriers calling plans.

AT&T (Cingular) offers the W810i. Get it from Amazon, WireFly, or any other online store cause their main website doesn't carry them anymore.

You are better off purchasing unlocked/unbranded from the manufacturer and bringing it to the GSM provider of your choice. Be forewarned that you will more than likely want an SE quad band phone for AT&T. You will need specifically the 850 band, since AT&T does operate off of that band in some areas. You may be able to get away with a tri band phone, but your signal and call quality could suffer.

Where did you purchase your phone? Cause I REALLY want the w810i in White and I also wanted it unbranded so I could use the Flash Themes without having to mess with it. Also, I don't want to bother with changing the black housing from the AT&T one. I keep hearing how it changes some button functions and how early the color starts to wear off.
