I can't seem to get my pc to detect my A1200...Its an older version of MPT so i'm wondering if i get the 4.51 version if that would detect the A1200?

IF so, is there anything else i should know?

thanks

Would you happen to know whichversion it would be?

You really should try asking your question on the BVRP forums, as they are the author's of MPT.

Sorry, don't know of a way to text with the keyboard. I absolutely LOVE this phone, but that is definitely the only drawback - no driving and typing Still love it though

Thanks for all your help rapidblue..I guess this way we actually drive safer or more dangerously..haha...
but

I set up all my contacts on outlook 2007 and had all the pics for each contact ready but the pics wouldn't transfer..is there a way to do that faster?

And for the phonebook, i'm trying to categorize my contacts, how do you create a category?

oh where can i dl games?

i'm starting to love this phone as i'm learning to use it more...

on the home page, it says i have no meetings..can i get rid of that? and does it only show 'meetings' or does it show what i have going on in my calendar as well?

thanks again!!

Hey McManGQ

Unfortunately the contact pics in Outlook don't transfer themselves to the phone. With my Q 9h they do (pretty neat) but not on my A1200 or Z6. Gonna have to assign them manually.

Can't see a place to create new categories on the phone itself. I have contacts in different categories though - best bet is to categorize them in Outlook and then sync or transfer to the phone.

Games - ha ha, sorry, can't really help here - not the biggest games fan Did download a Tetris game though e-mule though.

As the far as the "meetings" text goes - this stays on the home screen. Will change for any upcoming appointments you have in your calendar too Pretty cool - I like adding friend's birthdays to my calendar - now shows me on my home screen when their birthday arrives

Regarding the meetings on the home screen. Ive had a few bdays pass already and it hasn't shown up on the home screen. Any suggestions?

Also in the calendar when i click on the day of a bday. It just says 'birthday', is there a way to make it say "shawn's birthday" without having to type it in manually?

Thanks for all your help

Just added a new event and marked it as a birthday. Shows up on my home screen. Also, when going to the day it shows the person's name.
How you adding your birthdays??

Posted by: McManGQ

I'm adding bdays by goin to the phone book and adding it while puttin their numbers in..hmmm

Hmmm... think that only creates a "link" to the calendar. Try adding them directly by going to the calendar itself and not the phonebook - see if that helps?

Posted by: McManGQ

thanks for helping..i'm getting so frustrated..i added a new event into the calendar..i made it a birthday and the home page doesn't change..still says "no meetings"

If i add a bday from the calendar i have to write out "shawns birthday" so i would have to do that for every single bday..Is there a way to click on the person whos' bday it is?..

Im so picky, lol but it woudl be nice just to see who's bday it is on the home screen you know...anything is better than seeing no meetings..lol
thanks again

Really weird - sounds like your A1200 is faulty??
Mine are showing on the home screen. Maybe try and take it for a software upgrade?

Posted by: McManGQ

So i kinda figured it out. For a bday or anything to show up on the screen..it can't be an all day event.

The all day events dont show up..

Do you make the bdays an all day event?

I'm still trying to figure out how to get the calendar/home screen meeting to detect the bdays in the phone book..hmmm

Posted by: McManGQ

you know when you're on the screen to set up a new event with "subject, location" etc. If you click on subject it gives you a list of previously used subjects..do you know how to get rid of them?

I was playin around and now i have a whole list of events that look like "wefwfa" "wejwkj"...lol..i would just like to clean up that list..

any ideas?

Posted by: rapidblue

Think you actually figured it out - mine aren't set as all-day events (my birthdays are from 8-9.)
Can't see a way to clear the list though
