Hello,

Anytime I try to use the web on my cell, It says "Key not recognized."

Under the browser setup, what are the correct settings?

Are you actually signed up for Mobile Web? AFAIK the only way you can get a key generated is to have the Mobile Web feature added to your account. If you added the feature when you signed up you may want to call CS and make sure it was actually added to your account. This same thing happened to me.

I see you have the same problem myself and others have had.

The trick is to get to a tech support person that can help you manually configure the browser. They will have you creat a new entry(usually web but you can call it what you like)then they will have you enter the wapurls and wap ports and get you going.

Why this couldn't be set "out of the box" I don't know.

I have been following your other thread about getting the T720 and don't worry about the firmware until you have a problem. Just get the latest PRL and don't worry. I have read that there is some new software available for the T720 but it's better just to wait till it will do ya' some good before getting your phone flashed. As we say in the car biz "drive and enjoy instead of pickin' the thing apart to find something wrong"

No trick is necessary--do as praetorian said and sign up for mobile web and the key generates automatically.

Ben67 is correct. Even if it's not needed, the CS will usually have you create a new Web entry. I assume this is because they don't want to tell you how to get into the programming menu.

However, as praetorian stated, you should be able to generate a key as soon as Mobile Web is active on your account.

I was never signed up for Mobile Web, and I was able to surf the net on my phone for 2 months(I've only had it 3 months). Just 2 days ago it gave me the same error or "key not recognized". I was so pissed off. It was using my minutes, but it was cool to surf. I never had to pay, but they finally caught up with me and cut me off!
