Should I keep my gzone type v or get samsung a u740? My son has a u740 and it is pretty cool, espicially looks good for email without having a pda sized phone.

Depends on whether or not the QWERTY is important enough for you to give up a true smartphone OS and sync capability. Only you can make that decision, but I'll tell you right now you will NOT be able to sync your calendar with the u740 (not even over BT, only contacts) and the screen is somewhat low res.

If you don't mind the sacrifices, then maybe it's a good option for you.

My gz one isnt a smart phone though. I just meant size vs a pda. My gzone is the ruggedized phone

Yeah, I'd get the Samsung...or the LG enV, if I had to choose a Verizon phone. There some of the more flexible non-PDA/smartphones Verizon carries.

cool, thanks! I like the gzone as I am in the construction biz, and its ruggedness is great but I noticed I could have wireless sync on the 740 and doing email on it would be much better than with the gzone.

I have the g zone type v. It seems ok. I am also thinking of trying something else. But I am not sure what I want. I seem to drop my phones a lot. I don't listen to music or play games on my phone so I maybe fine with the type v.
