Hey all,

Just spoke with a rim rep, he said the bb curve should be out for tmo mid september, it'll have wifi and you can use it for the new hotspot@home service. I played with it a bit, it's sweet!

Also the new software for the 8100 and 8700 should be out in about a week around the 27th.

"I heard it from" is not confirmation. It still makes it only rumour. Maybe a very highly likely rumour, but not confirmation.

Confirmation would be TMO printed literature, web sites, streamline (I think that's what they call the employee system), etc. And even then the dates could slip.

I also have a rumor. Was talking to a RSR at my local t-mobile store and he claims there is a new Pearl coming out with wifi/uma. He didn't want to talk more about it though.

I heard the same things you guys did (and I'm hoping that's true!) but I was at a Dealer Event wed, and TMO product development told me it (8300 w/ @home) will be approved this quarter and launched next quarter...

So I am a little confused as what to do.....I received a new at&t blackberry 8800 during a conference I attended. I was planning on unlocking and selling it to buy myself the new curve for TMO. If it is not coming out until September, I don't know if I want to wait that long. Should I buy the unlocked at&t curve or hold out. Or buy the att and sell it again to buy the tmo one?

Do whatever you want. If you want a TMO BB with WiFi and UMA then wait.

Precisely. Speculation comes and goes on these forums all the time. Nothing aside from an official announcement is worth counting on IMO.
