BB 8300 Message indicator help!

Just got a BB 8300 not too long ago.. and i was receiving emails in my inbox.. some of them i didn't even bother opening so i just hit the delete button.. Now there's an indicator at the top of the screen that says i still have 1 unopen message.. But I checked and there all open already and read or deleted already..
How do I reset that indicator on the bb? if someone can help thanks..
I tried finding a restore factory setting similar function in the settings.. couldn't find something like that..

As with almost any time you have an issue PULL THE BATTERY. This will probably fix.

Mine will flash sometimes on my Pearl and I can't figure out why it's doing it. I just turn mine off and then back on and that seem sto fix it.
