My wife is coming back from Japan in 3 weeks, and the perfect welcome back gift would be a kick *** keitai with japanese input for text messages. Her over-riding concern is 1. J-input and 2. Style. Everything else is secondary (except, of course, it needs to operate on a US carrier)

i really don't care to dissect the issue - just let me know what's the best, most fashionable out there and where i can get one in nyc. Appreciate it!

there's no listing for the ones that i can put on a tmobile or att plan? sharp's site is fine. but it doesn't tell me "this phone can be hacked to work in the US"

she'd want something simpler - a straight flip. and she's not all about stuff like bluetooth or tv or cameras and all this other crap. her style is all like gwen stefani or fergie. i don't know. but that's the kind of stuff she likes, so she'd want a phone reflecting that i figure.

well if she doesnt care about the functions and wants a simple looking phone.. then get a 707sc
but then again.. if shes gwen/fergie rich girl/flashy kind of girl.. then i don't think sharp would be a good choice

im a flashy girl with brand name stuff and i still carry a 903sh..they go together.

so does this 903sh - if she goes to japan with it, it'll roam no problem, right? she'd use it here on tmobile, then go over there and it'll still work, same number and all?

where can i get these? how much? all the ones i'm finding, even they have japanese keys, are hacked into chinese.... wtf?

chinese b/c a lot of them were flashed in hk, so of course people would pefer to have chinese on it, not everyone wants to deal with reprovision on japanse firmware, some can, most cant.

the 707sc is basically a 903sh with a shafty camera and half the thickness.

also, with 707sc, there is no size limit on MMF ringtones (ma5, mono, 24kbit); the 903sh's size limit was 300kb

i'm not finding any of the phones in this list on ebay. is the the 903sh and 707sc the latest there is when it comes to jphones that can operate over here?

whatever. the 903sh is $600 freaking dollars and the 707sc is half that, and half the size (and she cares about size more than megapixels), so i think i'll go ahead and order that guy.

looks like a fine phone. are white or black models more popular with japanese girls these days?

most females would prefer a white phone over a black one.
