Don't bother waiting for an answer friend. I posted a question about this phone and I still haven't had any response from people. I'm pretty sure it could be unbranded if we knew the product code for the phone. And if their is a newer firmware available. But so far after searching for the last couple of weeks, I have yet to find any info on modding this phone.

Are you looking for hardware or software mods? Let me know and I will be glad to help.

I'm looking for software mods, for gps, and I want to know if there is a mod to were I can play the tuner straight through the loudspeaker instead of plugging in the headset.

I am working on finding a GPS hack, and I will post it as soon as I find it. But playing the radio thru the loudspeaker is easy. Just go to Options and select Loudspeaker. Or maybe you want to play the radio thru the loudspeaker without plugging in a headset. It may be possible, but since the headset wire also acts as the antenna, it probably would not work very well.

Yeah that's kinda what I thought. I've been looking for the GPS too, but I'm coming up blank. Do you know of ANY cool soft mods for it?

Few things you guys should be aware:
- Nokia has crippled the built-in GPS API access. It can't be "toggled" w/ a few clicks or hacks.
- Nokia will NOT make DCT-4 platform firmware be updated as easy as the newer BB5 platform using NSU and 2865i is a CDMA model as well. It's customized to a point where every carrier has different PRI in the firmware.

Alright, that saves me alot of time then. Thanks

So that means we can't change or update the firmware at all?

^ Not by the end-users. And, Nokia CDMA firmware rarely leak out from Nokia and providers to the general public.
