This is a candybar style phone with a nice screen, bluetooth, edge data, and a vga camera. A nice entry level phone. Any idea of a release date? Phonescoop says July as the planned availability.

Does anyone know when we may be getting this phone?

Well, the planned date for this phone is July 2007 according to phonescoop. So, I would imagine it coming anytime within the next few months.

...and for the record, Pantech makes a really good phone for anyone unsure about buying one. I have the predecessor to the c150, the c120, and am blown away how well designed it is! Hopefully the c150 lives up to he same quality as the c120 I have.

I see it on the site now.

What's the deal with the joystick/D-pad? I see a "c" button below the nub, but a circular arc above it? Is that one big button, or three buttons (up, left, right)?

I may get this as my backup phone to my iPhone. I love the color...

Nice lookin' phone... Makes me regret using my last Premier upgrade this month on a C3B, which is also very nice.

so did I...

I hope it is as nice as it looks...

Posted by: lm7

looks like I ordered mine too late so I won't get it until monday. It will just be my back up phone and if I don't like it then my kid will get upgraded from the c300.

Posted by: lm7

FedEx just dropped it off. It is a nice little no-frills phone.

How is the screen? Reception? Care to give a quick review?

Posted by: lm7

still charging... so i have not even put in my SIM card yet. The screen is nice and clear though. I can give you all a review maybe tomorrow if I get some use out of it tonight. So far I like the size but the casing feels too "plasticky" it is smooth glossy plastic like a chocolate. the 3/4 circle pad above the c does nothing...

I'll make a few calls a little later with it and let you know how the reception is.

Posted by: Kolt Seavers

I got mine today. It is what it is...a simple phone. The screen is better than what I expected, and reception is on par with other Pantechs...average to less than average.

It is very small though, and it looks good (color).

Posted by: lm7

yup not thrilled but not dissapointed. Just made a couple of calls and the reception was just fine... Speaker phone volume is ok as well.

I really wish AT&T picked up the black version, as well.

Oh, and what's with it not being offered as a GoPhone? The C120 was.

How does the UI on this compare to a Nokia (S40) UI? My wife has primarily been a Nokia user, but this phone seems like it would be a good replacement for her current 6102. Any comments from people who own this phone and have also used Nokia's in the past? Thanks!

Posted by: Kolt Seavers

The UI is very simple. IMO, the Nokia has a better UI though.

Thanks for the input. I went to my local AT&T store today but they didn't have any (stupid employee there didn't even know it existed ) Anyway, I was hoping to get some hands on experience with it but obviously I couldn't. So I had a couple more questions before I order it online:

1) How is the button feel/action on it? Especially the 5 way navigation dpad? Is it easy to use? Do you accidentally hit other buttons?

2) How is the battery life? The specs day 3 days but I was hoping for some real world times. My wife probably talks AT MOST 30 min a day.

3) You can send and receive pictures and ringtones via Bluetooth right? Also, can you send java apps/games to the phone via Bluetooth?

Thanks again.

1) The buttons, dpad, and toggle are excellent IMO.

2) Have not used it enough (backup phone).

2) I am not sure, but I am sure you can. When I can, I will check.

Well I just went ahead and got this phone, I figured what can I lose? It's free! And if my wife really hates it, I have 30 days to exchange it for another phone.

Anyway, I just got an order status and it said the phone is on backorder. Does this mean there are LOTS of people ordering this phone? I didn't think it would be THAT popular!

Also, any new comments on this phone? If there are any glaring issues you may have found, let me know and I'm gonna cancel my order
