I've first noticed this few months ago, but I think Rogers have officially started shipping these out as new 8700s. First shot shows the new 8800-style keys and second shot compares the new to old style keys.

Just a little F.Y.I.... those new keys, with the additional edge beveling, have been in use here in the USA since the fall of last year... they're the keys used on the CDMA BB 8703e, offered here by both Verizon Wireless and Sprint.

The strange thing is this: when T-Mobile upgraded their offering from the 8700g to the 8705g (with improved hearing aid compatibility), they did NOT switch to the new keys. The 8705g looks identical to the 8700g.

Does anyone own an 8700 with the "new keys" and if so I'm wondering what the difference is from a user experience perspective.
