So I am on AT&T and want a new GSM, but they do not offer what I am looking for. That said, I want:
- slider
- THIN, also not too tall
- good call quality
- durability (currently have V3 and it sucks - too flimsy)
- good batt life (3+ hrs talk time or more - again razr sucks for this)
- 2+ mgpix cam
- mini sd expansion
- mp3 player
- gorgeous to look at
- less than $300

so far my top picks are Sony S500i and Samsung d900 - any thoughts?

Oh, and NO motorolas - this has without a doubt been the slowest, most unreliable and worst battery life phone i have ever owned.

due to the cracking keys problem on the s500i, the d900 would be the better bet, but even that has a particular potential problem. the screen's durability isn't quite as good as that of the u600, so needs more gentleness. the RAZR is a lot more durable than the s500i, d900, and the u600. much better construction too and feels more solid in the hand. still keen on the s500i and d900?

the RAZR is an old old old old old phone, and things have moved on considerably since then. judging motos by the RAZR is like judging SE by the ultra-crappy k700i and t630.
the newest ones are better in all ways.
