Sidekick 3 Unlock

I know it's possible to unlock your phone to use on another carrier if you talk to tmobile and get the unlock code for it. But is there a way to unlock it, then use say a cingular voice plan, but still have the tmobile sidekick data plan?

You can't UNLOCK IT, period. I've called the T-Mobile and DANGER(Hiptop) and they said the same thing - "...we use to give out codes, but we stopped" - even you find sources on any forums, or on eBay specially for sale - it's not possible.

If you ever found a way to unlock it, you wouldn't be able to use data services. You would only be able to make/receive phone calls and text messages.

And if ever you did, let me know because I need to unlock my sidekick 3/Toronto - I pay too much for T-Mobile services, specially the roaming part...

hrm.. I am surprised they wont unlock it for international purposes. There are danger servers in Europe, so instead of paying roaming fees, I would hope I could unlock and put in a different sim card.
