After spending the past few weeks over in the iPhone section, I've grown to miss the WM Professional area. Most of the guys/gals over in the iPhone threads are rediculous. The majority are young punks with iPhones that mommy and daddy gave them. The rest are thread trolls from the Symbian area.

If you ever want a good laugh....spend a few minutes reading some of the posts and you'll see what I mean.

I got my wife a Treo 750, mainly to keep myself connected with the WM world and to keep my sanity.

Never knew how much I'd miss ya'll......

It was a lot worse in there during the first few days of release. And to used to think that the Moto forum had a lot of flaming.

I got myself banned for three days over in the Apple forum for simply arguing ("disagreeing") with someone - I wasn't flaming or anything, though that's what I was accused of.

They are real jerks over there.

there should be a rule , mention , quote , or ask about the I phone get banned for life , at least from this forum (PPC)

and yes , I do like it , I just think that if I was to get one , I will look for an I phone forum to talk about it , not in a WM forum , is like buying a BMW and going to a Mercedes forum to get everyone to see what I got , hope you understand

I guess if you're willing to camp overnight, in line on the sidewalk for a phone, pay mad money for it, and are applauded for your purchase, you get pretty defensive if somebody questions your genius:

Windows Mobile is more for the business/working/customizing/pc oriented/tweaking/developer crowd. Iphones are more the "not so hip on all this cell phone mumbo jumbo but it looks really cool" crowd. I think we(WinMo people) are into having a "mini computer" whereas the iPhone people just want a phone. Everything after the phone part just amazes them. "What, you mean I can see my house on a satellite image on my cell phone?" OMG!!!

When someone asks a question in the WinMo forum usually they'll have a solution to their problem/question or someone will usually try and help out. Mainly because WinMo is so developer friendly. I've noticed the iPhone forum to be a bit "commun i s t i c". You better accept what Steve gave you and be happy about it. If it doesn't have this or that it wasn't meant to be, type of attitude.

As every day passes by I lose more and more interest in the iPhone. Maybe in a year or two when it's got some kewl apps and stuff that might change.

What pisses me off is that so many people, even on xda are trying to make their phones LOOK EXACTLY LIKE the iPhone UI. I know it is a nice UI, but you can alter it somewhat, jeez....

i agree with you until the end i would never get that thing as i have sprint. the iphone is pretty much the same as the sidekick a kids device and people who have no clue about cell phones at all.
