Invisible Shield or Power Support Crystal?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Ok I know that question about the IS, BSE, ect., have been all over the forum but I got a different question.

I have in hand an Invisible Shield and a Power Support USA crystal film....

Which one should I put on?

Nobody have any opinions on which screen protector?

Posted by: truciet

i say power crystal...invisible shield feels too much like rubber...it takes away from the smoothness of the display. the invisible shield makes the display feel all rough and crap...just horrible I think

I'm going to cast a vote for the power crystal. I just got mine today and applied it. The fit is very nice, completely transparent and unnoticeable. The most convincing reason for me to go with the power crystal was that it uses static cling for attachment, so I didn't have to mess with any sort of liquids on my screen. Also for 15$ you get two covers

Power Crystal gets my vote. I am using invisible sheild to cover the back and it feels like I carry my iphone in a ziploc bag. LOL.

I just installed the IS. I really like it. If for some reason I don't like it, I can change out to the power support. Installing the back piece was hell though. Took me like 1 hr 45 min for the entire installation.

I lived with the invisible shield for a week. I like it on my other devices, but there was just too much friction for smooth operation of the iPhone. Especially when "flicking" and "pinching," I found there to be too much drag. Also (possibly due to the orange peel texture), my screen taps would often be inaccurate - I would try to tap a link and it would register the link next to or above or below it. I switched to the power support crystal and could not be happier.

I'm a big fan of the Crystal! I've had mine on for a few days now and it's not noticable...feels just like you're touching the screen itself!

I like IS.... At first it felt rubbery but once u break it in it feels fine

Power Support. I have it on mine plus BSE on back side. Combination of both protectors cost less than Invisibleshield.

I have to agree with you. I like the idea alot but it took me forever to install the back portion. But today it looks fine. I just hope it doesn't peel off anywhere. That would really piss me off.

I don't like the screen protectors from Apple, I assume that is the same thing that you are talking about.

It's impossible to do it without getting dust underneath it. And even if you do, it still manages to get little hairs from my pets and dust under after its on. I took it off to clean it, and I cant get the hairs off, it's as if it's on the inside of the protector, I can't feel it on either side.

I had the invisible shield full kit on my first iphone, but since I had to swap it, I'm waiting for my replacement to come in the mail, and then I'm going to put it on.

I love the stuff, great product, and great customer service.

I'm with Crystal!

It's the best, that's why Apple carries it.

Power Support/Apple. Very very smooth. IS = not smooth.

Where can I purchase a power support crystal for my iphone? At an Apple store?

http://www.powersupportusa.com/

I say the best combo is the Power Support Crystal protector on the screen and either the Best Skin Ever back protector, or the Shieldzone back protector. The Best skin ever back piece would be much cheaper though.

Invisible Shield all the way!! It is an awesome product that gives superb protection! It works great with my iPhone. It has no adverse affect on the touch screen at all.
Before, I used it with 2 different Treos...no peeling...no problem!

Actually, I got mine within about 4 days. None of the Apple stores in Michigan had them in stock.

I definetly love the crystal shield....and yes as someone mentioned even if you are very careful you can still get things stuck underneath when applying. I can see few tiny pieces of lint......i dont think it should matter though right?

Does anyone think it would harm the screen being stuck under there?

Posted by: mike772

I used a piece of tape to get my lint out, like scotch tape, I lifted on corner just till I could get at the lint and just let the scotch tape touch it very lightly, it got it right off and i laid the shield back down. perfect now and I feel somewhat protected.

Posted by: gigabella

Well this is my 3rd one cause I botched up the first 2 trying to get them perfect. So the third one I think im going to leave it with the few tiny pieces of lint. For 16 bucks I dont think I can afford to keep messing them up while trying to remove them and getting even more lint stuck underneath, not to mention smudges.

Just as long as the lint does no harm to the screen im fine with them being there....they are hardly noticeable to others anyhow

Power Support is much better for your screen while Invisible Shield or BestSkinsEver (what I use) is good protection for the body.

Posted by: gigabella

I agree Power Support is a very nice shield. Crystal clear and nice and easy to slide etc.

That's what I would recommend as well...power support for the screen and Invisible Shield for the body. I love it.
