GPS on the v3m for sprint

i did everything there for the v3m, signed up on the sprint developers page. i even found out my MSL code. i see the developer cert is off, but its not there under edit anywhere, just under view. i know that step was for samsung phones but i still tried it for mine but no luck. anyone? 
mgmaps loads and i can zoom in, but the gps part doesn't work.
