HTC Mogul Hard Reset Stuck on Sprint Screen

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I just got my new HTC Mogul today through Sprint Sero. While using the phone it locked up within an hour of first turning it on, so I tried to reboot it, nothing would work. Not knowing about the soft reset with the stylus, I pulled the battery, and it wouldn't boot back up past the sprint screen.

SO I tried a soft reset after looking in the manual, same thing, stuck on sprint screen. Then I tried a hard reset ( you really need 3 hands to do it ) and same thing, it reset, but still stuck on the sprint screen.

Is my phone defective? Please help me, this is so annoying, I've barely used the phone more than an hour.

Thanks,
Dustin

Call Sprint.

If you can get back to the home screen, try this:

The best way for a hard reset is to go to settings, system and then hit clear storage. It will put the unit back to original condition.

Not after the OP who has already tried the 3-handed hard reset.

Since you can only get the Sprint screen, that means the OS is not there. Best bet will be like what birdie1 said, 'Call Sprint" and ask for an exchange.

Yeah I've tried hard resets several times, and tried popping the battery, popping the SD card, so many different things.

Is it possible to get an exchange at the local sprint store? Going through SERO again and hoping to get a phone before the Mayan calendar expires is going to be next to impossible.

I am with t-mo so can't help. Just give Sprint a call and they should give you the answer

i had a reset issue with my mogul when i first turned it on. The phone would boot to the WM screen and then reset and do it all over. I thought it was because the battery was dead but I found out it was because of the micro sd card. For some reason my mogul arrived with the card installed and it prevented the phone from booting for the first time. I took it out and it booted fine.
