As of yet there is no perfect device in my opinion as there is no one with built in GPS/WIFI/3G nd the media functions, but the second that that appears I will be on it.
Also the A2DP is what allows the streaming of music over the headset, the AVRCP is for controlling the headset through the BT (just a minor difference), and the Pearl can stream to BT headsets using the Dollar5 player (just can't be done natively, and it isn't in stereo currently as no A2DP in the device, but is rumored to be added in an upcoming OS upgrade the 4.2.2.** OS that is yet to be released). The Pearl has AVRCP as I currently have it on my device (have it enabled on a BT device). his is just for those wondering and still weighing the decision. Also the Pearl can control and change the color of the trackball, whereas the Curve can't, but the Curve can use a standard 3.5mm headset jack whereas the Pearl uses the 2.5mm cell standard headset. Just some moe minor differences. |

I figured a2dp was a hardware related thing and not something that could be fixed via firmware update. |

Hardware was not a factor in the Pearl NOR the 8800 all of them had BT v2.0 and the full BT Stack is there but the firmware didn't allow certain features. Gotta love firmware upgrades my friend.
