Hi everyone, I am new to the forums and am in need of allot of information for I am very new to the modding scene for phones. My questions and or comments will be in numerical order to make them easier to answer.

1# I have a Motorola razr v3m s/w version 01.09.02 and I want to take advantage of bluetooth obex to put my music on my phone. I am not sure if there has been a drivers fix from verizon to allow this yet or if the only way is to flash another phone company's bios like altel. If this is the only way to what are the pros and cons what will I gain and or lose capabalities for changing bios.

#2 I just bought my brand new laptop C90S and want to get a mobile Internet connection from my phone, to my laptop to have Internet everywhere I go. Although I want to get a fast connection, but want to know if you are already a dsl customer if you can use your existing connection to hook it up your phone. If that is not possible how can I get a decent connection or even a connection at all, that will cost me no money or little to no money.

#3 I have no experience besides just fiddling with my razr to connect it to my laptop. If anyone could explain or give links on how to complete any of the things I have mention would be greatly appreciated.

Check out http://mark.cdmaforums.com/ Really read over the page(s) good, and check out the links he has on his site. Many of your questions will get answered there. And don't be afraid to look around that whole site, not just the main page I posted.

I guess I can help a little more than answering with a link..that link I posted will help you though, but I'll answer your questions to the best of my ability to help get you started.

1. The only way to use Obex on a verizon razr is to flash it to another firmware; alltel is the closest thing to the stock motorola for the v3m. The guide on how to flash is available at the link I posted. Pros of doing the flash would be of course, obex, no red bars, otherwise known as the verizon ui, and more options for transflash/ringtone settings. Cons would be voiding your warranty, possibilty of ruining your phone if you dont flash correctly, and possibly data. By now, I think that all of the data features for verizon work on an Alltel flash, except Get It Now, I think.

2. That site will also explain how to get mobile internet, or tether, a term that is used around here alot. Just looking at that site quick, to use a verizon phone on verizons network for internet, you have to "dumb down" the phone to make it work, meaning you will have slower surfing speeds as opposed to actually adding a tethering package to your account. But hey, its free (I beleive). It will be faster than dial-up, but not anywhere near as fast as your DSL connection.

3. Check out the link I posted in my reply above this one.
