I want to put ringtones on my motorola razr v3m for metro pcs with motorola phone tools. the newest version of motorola phone tools. it tells me something that i dont have an mp3 codec installed. i have windows vista. on my other computer which is windows xp, it works.....

You may need to download an audio codec for vista, not all drivers for various programs are installed on the vista.

Vista was reeleased with very little in the way of drivers. It should be resolved when the first service pack comes out.

umm help out once in a while instead of making smart remarks such as that. alot of xp machines also give that error, so I guess that makes your remark look dumb.

hey nfaze how bout u stfu unlike u i have a v3m and i get no errors
he also says it works on his xp comp so just use the xp comp problem solved if downloading the codec didnt. if it still doesnt work id kwahts wrong pm me if u havent alrdy fixed it

phone has nothing to do with the errors. And yes he can just use the xp machine, but what happens if he ever sells that machine, or upgrades that xp to vista? It's like having 2 cars in your garage, and one with a flat tire. Are you just gonna keep using the other car or are you going to eventually fix the flat tire? He may be able to use xp for now, but down the road he may have no choice but to use vista. Lets stop flaming each other, and pool our thoughts together to help the op out, k?
