There are lots of community-made camera drivers for the k750, w800, and w810... the most popular ones include those by Sarmad (me

woowwwww.....which driver do you use? i am currently using kriomag 21.9. the picture quality has increased. but the picture is quite grainy both in daylight and night mode. can you help me?

Tried 21.9 its not 100% i use 21.8

Took a couple shots close up in the sun.

W810i , manual Settings on the phone and reduced 50% to fit the forum.

SOMEBODY post how....

how to add these drivers.... FAR just starts my phone when I get to the point of clicking FS....phone folder popsup in windows...

PhoneXS do the same thing??...how?

or can these drivers be loaded with any other program besides FAR??

use FAR delete and replace the DAT camera file

Once the file is replaced your done, But to take it in affect you have to have it in Macro Mode

Probally not a correct forum to ask this question but here goes... Is the DC-60 cable is the 1 that came w/ the phone? cux i've been trying to upgrade the camera driver but failed to communicate w/ Far Manager.

no use in simply uninstalling the pc suite. thel atest usb drivers have already been installed in your OS. you need to reinstall your OS to remove the usb drivers. i think thats the only way out.
to operate far, you need usb flash drivers which you can find by searching in theforum

wow very nice.

because of this thread i used XS++/FAR to break-in and install krio 21.8's over my previous ZUZA3....big improvement. pictures are average 450-550kb with 21.8....the most i ever had with ZUZA3 was 430ish....means less compression = better most of the time =)

I took some sample shots today and there is definitely a noticeable increase in detail. probably the best 2.0mp camera phone after this new driver... even the newer w580i and k550 are lacking in comparison(tho they probably use the same camera).

I haven't used a Motorolla in years because I think they're straight ***...so I don't know much about their capabilties. If I was feeling crazy I'd prolly check for you...but it's too early. Search the Motorolla forums for camera drivers.
If I remember correctly you can't do it...but than again, it's been a while.

Wow nice pics guys...I didn't realize the 810i had that fast of a shutter speed...1/320 is quick for a camera phone...will it go higher than that?

I've also got the 580i...will these drivers work on it too?

Oh, but v630i IS a sony ericsson! That v stands for vodafone
It's quite cheap but good, that's why I'm asking here if I can do anything about its camera drivers

Launch the camera app. Go to your settings. you will see an option called picture size or something like that, and you will see 3 different settings (1mp, 2mp, vga). Zoom only works in VGA.

some of those directions might vary as i'm basing this off of my 610i, but shud be similar if not the same. essentially u just need to be taking your pics in vga mode to zoom.

if i'm wrong i guess u'll have to wait for someone elses response..but eh...i tried.

sorry man, i made that reply in a rush without looking into it (just trying to help). logically, i'd assume something went wrong when you updated, or it's a minute detail you've overlooking. again, my phone has vga, which is the only mode allowing zoom, but it does not disclaim this when using the app...so it could be something simple you're unaware of. i'd advise consulting your user manual.

I doubt it's an issue with driver as others are using this without complaint. I'd be disapointed if I were you considering the 810i had 4x digital zoom (compared to the 2.25 my 610i has)

you're going to have to look to someone else for assistance on this one, perhaps you should PM wirelezz.

I am utterly amazed at the quality of pics coming from a thouroughly abused, scratched lens W810i, Sarmad's camera driver get's my vote as the best for quality/ease of use

all pics were resized to 800x600 using imageshack

W810i using Sarmad's 5.8 driver

I like the asbstract serctioned vegetable dept, which kriomag, 21.8 or 21.9? I also see you have a modded audio driver, which one you using?

for audio I'm using TVH v8, it's a pretty good mix, with low headphone hiss, much improved in call speaker volume and loud ringer, the new camera/audio drivers turned my W810i back into my trusty daily driver, actually they turned it into my one and only after the improved call and ringer volume, I also removed the ugly ATT operator logo, and flashed to the ATT VM icon with counter, all in all the customizinig has made the phone a much more pleasant experience than the original unlocked/unbranded version I bought ages ago

Im using the same audio drivers. As for the camera driver --- I change it all the time....

Sarmad6 is out on SE-NSE, haven't tried it yet though, TVHv9 is supposed to be coming soon...

Just grabbed a W810i to replace an old motorola of mine and i never thought the cam on the phone could take pics like these, they are very nice

ok i followed the far + sefp guide posted here http://www.howardforums.com/showpos...224&postcount=3. when i load up far and do the alt+f1 then try to choose sefp i get a "plugin call error" about some exception in the sefp.dll file in the sefp folder. whats going on? is there anyway around this?

Make sure you are selecting DCU-60

reinstall the SEFP plugin into far.

well were do i begin my phone died last night white flashing screen. would even get bast the boot menu. so i today downloaded XS++ v3.1 n also flash file w810_r4ea031_main_generic_hn_red49 with Custpack: EUROPE_2 (CDA102494/15) (W810).

u probaly didnt want to no that but i have had a terrible nite as am a total noob to sony ericsson flashing.

so i installed the supercam to. got a perfect working phone again with amazing camera. will post pics..

big thanks to all the boffins that spend all the time helping others on here. espically tutorials.

I put a 4gb memory card in my 14 yr old daughter's 7mpxl Nikon right before she left for Germany for 11 days over spring break with her school. Turns out the card was unreadable in her nikon and could not be formatted.

If she hadn't had the patched/hacked 810i that I bought here in these forums from Matts_k790a, she would have been devastated for not getting good photos on what may be a once in a lifetime trip. Instead, the Sony 810i was her backup plan and she took a lot of good pictures. The major failing was her not understanding that the zoom would cause picture quality to deteriorate, and about 20% of her photos were all jaggy, but the trip was not ruined by that.

no modding for both, they are both db3150, which is not hacked yet

I have been wondering the same, although i guess it doesnt really matter either way but i am curious to know what the changes are or how it works in a kind of plain english
