i recently bought my wing about a week ago and im still getting used to all of its features but for some reason when i get mms sent to me the images are either 10k big or i do not receive them period, when i send an mms to myself it connects to tmobile data to send but it doesnt connect in order for me to receive it can anyone guide me in the right direction?

I would call t-mobile tech support, live help generally beats messages on a board for something like this.

t-mo gives you two weeks to return or exchange your phone. just go get another one.

When I get a pic message the picture is 160X120 in size - no matter who sends it.

I went to a T-Mobile store today and spent 2 hours with a salesperson and TMobile tech support. They were unable to do anything.

Please check your pic messages and let me know if you are able to RECEIVE large images (up to 300K in size, because of TMobile's limits)...If so, please let me know what RUU you are using and what your MMS Configuration is setup as.

If you DO NOT recieve large images - PLEASE CALL TMOBILE AND COMPLAIN!!

Thanks!

do you recieve any MMS messages?

If you're using the Wing with a plan other then the Total Internet plan, you will get issues...

I ran off the Blackberry plan for a month, but T-Mobile started cracking down on people doing that.. so now I pay $10 more per month... but anyway, if you had the blackberry data plan, you can't send/recieve MMS messages, you just get errors, or your MMS message appears to send, but you recieve nothing... and if anyone sends you an image, you are told to log on to t-mobilepictures.com to view them...

Yeah, so if you're on the blackberry plan, you need to fork up the extra $10/month for Total Internet... but that $10 is worth it if you spend a lot of time at/around starbucks... and you can use the hotspot account on your laptop as well

Yes, I have the Total internet Package with T-Mobile. I can send picture messages to others perfect - they receive the full size image.

I RECEIVE picture messages from people on all different networks (and T-Mobile's) and the images are small pictures.

Don't know if this will help, but try going Start--> Programs--> Pictures & Videos-->Menu-->Options and check to see what the size option is set to. I remember before, I had it set to small and when i tried to send an mms with a file size larger then I had set this option to, it would give me an error. Try setting it to original size. Hopefully this will clear up your problem.or you could always try updating to the latest rom.

You might try these two things:

Send Large MMS:
Registry: HKLM\Software\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\UI\Size Limit
Key: wap2sendlimit1 (you can also change wap1sendlimit1)
Default: 307200
New Value: 1228800 (1200K)

Set the new value by going to Text/Multimedia --> Menu --> New --> MMS --> Menu --> Options --> MMS Options --> Servers --> T-mobile MMS

MMS Sending Issue Fix:
1. Due to incorrect Port setting for the MMS server, the phone may not be able to send MMS messages all the time.
2. Go to Text/Multimedia --> Menue --> New --> MMS --> Menu --> Options --> MMS Options --> Servers --> T-mobile MMS
3. Make sure the settings are set to: Gateway: 216.155.165.50 / Port Number: 8080 / Server: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
