i have a 8125 and like it but want to sell it for a 8525 becuase the 8125 was discontinued...i was wondering if the 8525 takes the same cords as the 8125 lke the chargers and usb so all i have to do is buy the phone itself

The chargers and USB cables are the same (compatible at least).

Look on EBay. You might get $190 - $220 for it, on average.

I have an 8525 and the jack on the phone is a squared off proprietary thing, NOT a standard mini-USB like the 8125.

Don't ask me why they did that.

I bought a refurb from AT&T and it came with the charger with the squared off jack and also a dongle to connect the phone to a mini-USB cable.

While that is true, the standard mini-usb does fit into it and works just fine.

The added memory card is different though. The 8125 uses the miniSD card and the 8525 used the microSD card.
