Moto Rokr Z6 or SE S500i or some other slider?

I'm in the mood for a slider.

I can't decide between the Rokr Z6 and the S550i/W580i.

I generally prefer Nokias and Sony Ericssons over Motos but the Z6 seems a big step forward in terms of the UI and features. Add to that the solid build quality and great battery life of the Moto and you can see why I'm interested.

Anyway, i'm still skeptical so I'd like some advice before go ahead and buy one of them.

And of course if there is any other slider worth looking it in the same price/feature bracket as these two, lemme know.

what price bracket? different phones are sold at different prices in different parts of the world.

i would immediately discount the s500i on account of the keys. regarding the build quality of Z6 vs w850i, i would be more inclined to trust the build quality of the former a lot more.

with price bracket i meant phones similarly priced (approximately). While phones are sold at different prices around the world, they are still priced competitively against their closest rival in that market. Right?

anyway, yeah the keys on the s500i aren't the greatest but that alone isn't reason enough for me. And I didn't mention the w850. I was talking about the w580 which is the s500i's twin.

I think you're right about the build quality though.

I haven't used any of these phones, sorry, but if I'd had some extra money I'd pick up the w850. I know it's not on your list ;however, if you've seen it's reviews you'll notice there on the positive side, and it's also sonny's first slider

(I think). I also understand you liking the s500 since it's design and interface are very alluring , anyway good luck with that.

Why not wait for the 6500 Slide and see if you like the design/features?
