Tytn camera freezes

I just got a Tytn with DoPod ROM Version is 3.54.707.3 (WM6) and can only get the camera to work a couple of times.

When I start that camera, I get several bars that run the length of the screen appear (approx 1/4 of an inch apart) and then eventually the camera program fills the screen in. Once it does load, I see the interface for the camera and I can go through the features (change to movie, vs photo, turn on the light - that's one bright light!). However the screen is completely black except for the touch icons for the settings. When I take a picture, all I see is black. And no, I don't have my hand over the lens ;-).

I've done several soft resets. Haven't done a hard reset. I've only install Resco audio recorder (I'm looking for something to record calls - let me know if you have any recommendations).

I haven't tried a hard reset. Guess that is next.

Anyone else experience this?

Thanks.

There is something of a known issue of the 8525 taking black pictures on some devices when set to superfine on 1 or 2 mega pixels. However, it sounds like you get a back screen all the time (other than icons) not just in the resulting picture taken. So, I think you have a different issue.

If after hard reset it persists then I think you have a hard ware fault - possible just the camera connection not pushed in fully.

Thanks - it did work after a hard reset and I tried using it throughout the day. Then it suddenly stopped working. A soft reset and now it's working.

So far so good...

Thanks again.
