Well if you buy it from Orange UK you cannot simply load the 8800 OS from any other provider.

Orange UK - be prepared to do the following
1) Edit the vendor.alx file for vendor
2) edit the themes within that file.
All to get rid of Orange UK OS branding.

OR wait till roughly late September for AT&T to begin shipping it ... AT&T always has BB delays.

The straight word coming from an AT&T insider is that the BlackBerry 8820, with all it’s Wi-Fi and MicroSDHC goodness, will launch on North America’s largest GSM carrier by August 13th or 14th.

I just heard the same thing from my very reliable source. He's been right on the last 4 new BB releases.
