okay, my brother's birthday is coming up and he's thinking about going to t-mobile. i'm considering getting him the motorola krzr (which is silver) but i'm wondering if there's any "limitations" to it. basically, what are the major differences between the t-mobile's version and an unlocked one? i've been trying to find information but, besides the myfaves, it looks like t-mobile kept the phone as is.
thanks in advance.

Well, there's not much difference except one is unlocked and one is locked plus if he gets a my faves plan he'll need a myfaves phone. So, I would go with which ever you can get cheaper.

hey, thanks for the reply. although i prefer to buy unlocked phones, i'm leaning more towards the t-mobile's version so he can use the phone right out of the box (instead of having the set up internet settings, mms settings, fixing the voicemail bug if there is one for the krzr, etc). my brother would be coming from sprint so he'll get a decent price.

The only advantage that T-Mobile KRZR offers is the warranty.
