I'm currently with a family plan with 2 lines, both have the $20 internet service. I think the $80 iPhone family plan is better though, would it make sense that if I bought ONE iPhone I can still switch over to the iPhone family plan?
So my goal here is:
1. Buy 8gb iPhone and switch my current family plan to $80 iPhone family plan
2. Use Nokia N95 on the second line of the iPhone family plan
Is this doable?

Need more information regarding your existing family plan. How much are you paying for the basic package. Which family talk plan are you on?
The iphone family plans you mentioned is 80 dollars for 700 minutes but READ the FINE print. The real price with your N95 included is really 89.99 ($80 dollars for the first iphone line, which does included the iphone data plan plus. 9.99 for your additional second line, without data). Note on both the apple/att webpage that clearly states in very small print, "Price reflects one line"
Basically you are looking at about 109.99 if you want line 1 (iphone with 20 dollar data plan) pluus line 2 (N95)+ your mediamax plan.
Also if you are getting any corp. discounts, you LOSE ALL discounts when you add an iPhone data plan. So the costs can add up pretty quickly.

Ok so I'm assuming then I can just convert one of my lines to an iPhone line?
I'm on the 550 plan + internet on both lines ($20 each)

Yes, you could always add the 20 dollar iphone data plan to any existing ATT line.
Reminder, that you lose all corp. discounts when the iphone is added and it doesn't matter whether it's the primary or secondary line.
For me, I don't think the special iPhone family talk lines add anything special and I think most people keep their old plans and added the iphone data plan.
