activesync 4.5 exchange 5.5 and good technology

alright guys, iv been trying to figure out an issue that iv been happening with a new company i just started working for...... on their exchange server, they have seperate folders for contacts, ex... the receipents folder, employee contacts, and a master contacts folder.....
using good technology on their exchange server 5.5 we can get the recipents folder to show up on all the phones, (this is the main folder) but for the other folders, i can not get them to work on the phone ex. i can see all the contacts under receipents folder, but when i had a public folder which in this case would be the master contacts list, i can view any of the contacts....
anyone else ever run into such an issue? i know with the exchange 2003, its has features specifically for good technology, but on 5.5 im just kind of lost with the way good technology works....
