M600i and M608C - HELP!

Having just bought a M600i of a UK e-bay shop I have recieved an M608c, which I had to change the language from Chinese to English on to start with!! That took some time!!!

I have looked at the spec and it the main thing seems to be (apart from the Chinese language part) that it doesn't have the ability to use UTMS on board - correct me if I'm wrong.

I live in the UK and I am currently on Orange, but always buy these sorts of phones unbranded to make sure I can maximise their potential. Should I send this back and demand a UK model, or does the UMTS not mean much.
