How do I find out the IP address of my iphone on EDGE?

Is it possible to find this out? Or do I have a dynamic ip address that is constantly changing? I'm trying to get my company email to allow an outside entity on the SMTP system.

You'll have an IP address that is always changing. Try using Safari and surfing over to "http://ipchicken.com" if you want to see what it is.

Ask your company email folks if they can turn on SMTP authentication.

Your IP address will change from time to time though not normally from hour to hour. If you firm requires a static IP address for SMTP access your are SOL.

The only caveat with that is, you're more than likely going through a NAT device on Cingular's network ... so you'll get the IP address of some sort of the NAT gateway.
