Is there an app that gives me driving directions from point A to point B that doesn't require data (internet) or gps adapters? I thought MS Streets did this, but that's not the case from what I've read.
Thanks!

Try mapopolis (sp?) I used to use that before I bought the Garmin Mobile XT 10.

Mapopolis is the best for that, but they do not support individual consumers any more. Which sucks I use it just about every day.

MS Streets and trips does that. Also you might want to check out Google Maps or Windows Live for Windows Mobile devices.
With Windows Live, I know you can choose a start and end destination and you can even use the start location as your GPS location so that it will follow as you drive. I'm sure Google Maps does the same but I haven't tried it. I believe it will find destinations by searching and downloading the required map images via a data connection.
You could use a GPS software like "Route 66" and just keep a local state map stored on your memory card. I haven't used it but I hear it works well. I don't know how useful it would be without a GPS reciever... but you can pick one of those up relatively cheap now a days.
If your wanting to use a mapping software without using any type of data connection or GPS, MS Streets and Trips would work as well as Mapopolis. You'll need maps of the area saved to your device.
I've used Streets and trips when I bought my GPS unit... but I didn't like how it wouldn't give you turn by turn directions. I used it with a GPS, so I just navigated to a destination... but I'm pretty sure you can specify a start and end point.
