LG 8700 vs. 8300 vs. Chocolate?

I just signed up for Verizon service, and bought the LG VX8700. I love everything about it -- the way the keys feel, the gorgeous screen, the cool exterior... EXCEPT how it fits on my head. I find it so uncomfortable to hold. Speakerphone is ok, but I can't use that all the time.

So I'm debating exchanging it for the Chocolate (way cool, but is it really practical?) or the 8300 (meets my needs but is boring and ugly). My main hangups are that I'm afraid the 8300 will seem desperately outdated in 6-12 mo, and that the Chocolate will break or get scratched.

I'm totally clueless what to do... Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Get a bluetooth headset, and keep your 8700 in it's pouch in your pocket.
