Phone for the wife

We're both on T-mobile... I'm using an unlocked blackberry 8700c, and I recently bought her a Wing. Seems to be a little too much phone for her and in my opinion, it's a little slow. So we're looking to sell it or trade it and get something else. I'm leaning towards a Sony Ericsson of some kind (maybe m600i or equivalent). She's leaning towards an LG Prada - which is WAAY out of our price range...
any suggestions?
