You guys think this is worth a shot? The last owner of my phone jacked up a couple parts of the current housing.

Well here is my opinion. For starters, I am very mechanicly inclined. after watching a how-to video on youtube, I attempted to replace the screen on my old treo 650 (almost identical process to change the housing). I replaced the screen however, 2 months later, the screen started to flicker like an old tv with bad reception. While I was able to stabalize the screen by twisting the housing, it was still very anoying and the phone was forever ghetto. I think that I could probably do it fine if I tried again however, I do not intend on doing so.

The HTC sliders loof far harder to disassemble and reassemble then the Treo 650. Accordingly, I would not recomend that you do something like this yourself unless you have prior experience fixing phones.
