I've been waiting since the April announcement. It was June. No joy. Then July. No joy. Now August, and I see all sorts of carriers (not Rogers in Canada) introducing a WM6 ROM update for their TyTns or 8525 etc.

I have a branded HTC TyTn bought in Toronto 3 months ago. I'm really anxious for WM6 and check the HTC Europe site every day, but not joy. I am furious that the manufacturer of the phone is the last to have the upgrade.

I know there are ROMs out there, but I am skeptical, and don't want to either brick my TyTn, or find a ROM that has problems and be unable to go back.

Are any of you at that same point? At what point to we start to suspect that there will not be a WM6 upgrade, and that HTC is intentionally witholding it so that their OEM's can sell their wares. My wife bought an S620 at the same time, thinking that it would be upgraded to WM6 before Rogers did (assuming they ever do). I would never buy HTC again from the manufacturer.

take a chance, read up on how not to brick your phone and flash to the Black Majic ROM.

Black Satin ROM ran super slow on my TyTn

honestly, i see no real difference from WM5 -> WM6

maybe its just me.

yeah black magic ran slow on mine.. changed it to some other normal WM6..

Works perfectly.
