Treo 750 masters - can I do this to treo

I just got a treo 750. I don't have a data plan and I intend to keep it that way. I also have a BM1500 plan.

Now I want to use the email function on the treo. Is there a way to use the treo - write emails on the treo - and have it transferred to my outlook on my pc?
In other words, I donwload all the emails to the treo when I sync it and then reply to them on my treo. Next time I sync it - it will transfer them to the outlook on the computer.

Thanks guys.

yes, just sync your mail with your outlook on your computer using activesync - read the manual for more info.

thank you...and I won't get charged for using active sync - correct?

Activesync is done via the cable, not over the air.

Actually you can use Activesync over bluetooth and via an exchange server too.

Wirelessly posted (Palm Treo 750: Palm750/v0000 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows CE; PPC; 240x320) UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

To make it simple for the OP, as long as you're using a cable or bluetooth when syncing, you won't be charged.

One suggestion, that the first time you do it hold the end key and power off the phone's radio. That way you can be assured that it's not sneaking on to the internet through the phone's data connection and is in fact going through the cable.
After setting it up, you can check the settings on that sync profile and disable a check box "allow wireless connection while syncing." This will force the phone to no try to do a wireless connection and only do all data over the cable (for free over your broadband.)

If you intend to never use data, call up Cingular and have them remove internet pay power use from your account so that you can't accidentally go online and get charged.
Bu default you're on pay per use unless you've had it removed. And the Treo 750 can easily and accidentally go online unless you change the internet settings to something bogus that doesn't work.
