I'm working on a remake of my S40 review since Siemens sent me a S40 with version 3.2.0 firmware. I have some questions for all you S40 Owners:

Have any of you gotten IR sync with Outlook working in Win9x , ME or 2K?

Empty your voice recording and record a new one, how long does it go before it runs out of mem?

Sorry I dun use Outllook syn but for the second question on voice recording, I am getting 10 minutes.

Howard, I've used Outlook sync on Win98SE a few times. Seems to work but not very flexible and needs tweeking.

Infra-Red works great on Windows 98SE and Me. It doesn't work on Windows 2000 and Windows XP since Microsoft removes the virtual serial port away from the IrDA port.

I don't use Outlook personally (I use Palm for calender and phone book). However, I did try Outlook 2000 and Outlook XP with my S40 (firmware 2.10). The sync. goes very smooth and fast. However, I was disconnected for every 3 to 5 minutes and my S40 hung. I guess it's the bug of firmware 2.10. Besides that, outlook syncing works great for my testing.

I got about 8 minutes of voice recording in a quiet place (my office/bedroom) and about 5 minutes in a noisy place (my car). However, the sound is very soft though.

Can i use data cable for Siemens S25 for S40 ?? is it the same ?
