Help with annoying changes

My previous good nokia was a 6230. A nice phone, it was fast and effecient. My new phone, a Nokia 6300, is sleeker and in many ways, better.
But, for some reason, Nokia have removed several options from the menus.
Is there any way, for example, of enabling the "Overwrite Messages in Inbox" feature, that used to save me a great deal of time?
