horsehead93 try this one. I'm not sure why the txt msging is not working, cause you have a boost phone on the boost network. No changes should have been neccessary. If this cp doesn't work, maybe someone else can check it out.

MotoTALK is not a feature on the i835 and cannot be enabled. I don't know how to do Palletes, sorry.

Hit the Menu key and it will be appear in one of the menu screens. If you still can't see it in the menu, try changing your theme.

I'm not sure what you mean by a "flash problem", but you can only use a codeplug that comes from your phone. You won't be able to use any that are posted here and upload it to your phone.

having a problem getting past rss (usb) it says it cant communicate with phone try baud rate etc.. When i put it in usb uner options it says internal error it only works with serial and connects with usb and goes into rss. I have no ideas how to fix it .

Done. Another feature that you can now do is turn off the screens while its charging. Let me know if you want that done also. Personally I hate having the screens lit while charging.

Its pretty straight forward man.

MMS video capture enabled - capture video to sent through MMS

Audio File Transfer via BT Enabled - You can transfer audio files through Bluetooth

All call timers cleared - All call timers have been reset to 0 (I dont know how to explain this any easier)

New 6:1 Interconnect Setting off - Better phone sound quality

american dialing is instead of 55555555 u get 555-555-5555 and moto talks like short distance walkie talkie

I tried MO SMS and I Get transcript error.. I did a master reset, and now I get out of service: unable to send the message.
I reset the phone and tried again and get an error "Cannot Send: Transport Error"

I tried sending MMS also and doesn't work either with same error.
I"m now able to see whose sending me sms but no MMS ( not even sms notification that I have received an MMS to visit a site ) ( I"m able to access the Telus website )

I have enclosed a CP from my defunct Telus i730 and notice it's a different setup in certain options.. is there a way to clone those info over?

I dont see the option for MOTOTALK but meh.. I don't know anyone currently that has a phone capable of it right now anyways.

However.. whenever you have a moment if you could re-enable backlight while phone is charging? I can't see the screen in the dark when the batteries running low and I have it plugged in doing whatever I have to on the phone while charging.. sorry

I have a i880 im using my boost sim card in it but cant text or recieve certain things like mms maybe due to the nextel settings in the cp and im using my boost sim in it. but anyways Help me with whatever can be done on the i880 maybe copy all the settings from the i885 over to this cp.

Thanks, but for some reason it won't let me open the file. I download the file and then try to open it, but it gives an error message of "An unknown error occurred while accessing an unnamed file." After that, the application locks up and I have to close it with Task Manager. Any ideas?

I know I'm not suppose to ask questions here, but thought it'd be ok with the mod just being done.

Changed Nextel TCP Gateway to Boost TCP Gateway(data/web)
Enabled option to download/send messages while flip is closed
Enabled option to set SD Card audio files as ringtones(as long as they're in the right format)

Don't know if you want the last two options or not, or if they'll work on an i870, but they're there now.

thx shutter doesnt make sound just what i wanted havent sent anything on bluetooth but it dosnt say anything about size exceeded or nothin so whatever you did worked thanx man i owe you.

You can't disable the bluetooth size limit, but you can set it to the maximum (BT Max Object Size > 65535).

Hello, I have an i425 from Boost. I just located my codeplug, after much struggle with the unit.

I took a look around but I seem to not be able to make many useful changes myself, and would like to take up a willing forum member to give me a hand.

I wanted to give MOTOTalk a try, mainly. I did some searching and found some saying this phone can do/use bluetooth, some saying it can't, if it can that would be great. I don't really use messaging on this unit, but I can trust the forums members here, if you have any nice tweaks to sharpen the unit up, I would appreciate it.

2) american dialing
3) arger bluetooth size (max if possible)
4) remove the shutter sound
5) set card files or menory files as ringers
6) keypad flash-if possible
7) MMS Maximum Video Size (92160)
8) ext american numbers
9) ext recent calls shows numbers

ok after messing around and reading and reading can someone please hook me up with the following if possible on my i880
- Hide service Provider
- American Dialing
- Remove Camera Shutter Sound
- Set Files As Ringers
- Keypad Flash if possible
- Recent Calls Shows #'s
- Change Startup Screen Name to Bronco*****

also if possible which I see people always asking but I never really saw if you can but free internet would be great but if not no big deal I guess

any other cool changes that can be done would be great too just private message me with the link for the modded code then thanks so much I truly appreciate it

Hello all,

I finally got everything up and running on my PC and made a bunch of mods to my i880, but I can't get my hands on the necessary tools to make other changes to the codeplug, so here I am asking for help from anyone who can.

I'd like the following modifications to my i880:

-American dialing
-Increased bluetooth file size (5mb+ preferrable, but whatever the most stable setting above 1mb is also OK).
-Files on the memory card as ringers
-The option to add "no sound" to the camera sound list (if possible)
-MotoTalk/DirectTalk enabled (the off-network walkie-talkie)
-Flashing keypad (but only if I have the option of disabling it please!

)
-If there is something very useful that I'm not mentioning, please tell me and I'll see if I want to add it!!!

I have a i880 that I am using on boost. I just need to make sure that everything is set right for boost, and if not change for boost. PM if I goofed up getting it. Any help would be appreciated with this.
