Has anyone experienced a lower then normal volume on the n75? should I replace the handset or unbrand it??

I use a jaw bone and it worked perfect with my e50, I've tried reseting both also re-pairing both and the same thing..any help

My new 6120 classic has low Bluetooth volume as well. It's weird, the handset speaker volume is AWESOME, but it's MUCH quieter over Bluetooth than my previous phone (Sony Ericsson W810i).

You might try posting this to the regular S60 forum...not sure this is a "FAQ".

there's really nothing u can do about it...

IMO it depends on the Bluetooth device you are using. My Cardo S2s are super loud, my Motorola H700 is ok and my son's cheap Bluetooth headphones are quiet.

I've had the same BT headset (Plantronics Voyager 510) for 3 phones and it DEFINITELY doesn't get as loud on my Nokia 6120 as it did on the others. Also, my car has the Acura HandsFreeLink Bluetooth speakerphone built in, and I also have to turn up the volume MUCH louder on that to get the same output as I did with my last phone. So it's definitely the Nokia.

It's weird because the handset is SUPER loud on this model and the BT is medium-loud at best. On my last phone (W810i) the handset was WAY too quiet but the BT volume was MORE than adequate and I never maxed the volume out. It's funny how the 2 phones are opposites in these regards.

Thanks, As I stated before the jawbone worked excellent on the unbranded e50 but on this new n75 I don't hear well and others don't hear me as well either. Do any of you think if I unbrand it, it my work better or should I exchange it for a new one?? I've already unlocked it but if the phones defective I don't want to unbrand it.

Thanks again

u should just buy a unbranded n75 imo.

Same here. I take my phone "upgrades" (whenever available through my provider) and sell them on eBay for $100+ profit in order to buy unlocked/unbranded phones. I love being able to have great phones that aren't available through my provider (and often not even available in this country yet, as is the case with my 6120).

You guys/gals are right I returned it I'll stick w/my e50 for awhile longer

well just as an FYI, even the wired headset with the n75 is low. its like half volume of what it should be. when i'm driving on the freeway i can barely hear the caller. the 6131 was way louder with the same exact headset. speakerphone was also twice as loud. my phone is non branded. kinda makes me angry cause the phone is almost unusable as i am on the freeway a lot. firmware update to fix?
