Hi guys,
I have a nokia e61 that I absolutely live by. The other day it got wet and now its dead. Is there anything I can do to save it?

yeap.... take the battery out for atleast 72 hours and get the new battery... usually a wet battery is finished... try not to power on... you can also take it apart and clean it with electronics cleaner from radio shack or similar store comes in a can, or just take it to a phone expert to get it ultrasound clean.. Good luck

i would rather u get a new phone...even if the phone is fixed, lots of trouble will follow.

Got wet how? If you dropped it in the pool, or in the ocean, forget it. It is hosed.

But if it was just clear water, you may be able to let it dry and see what happens. I don't know how robust an E61 is, but old handsets have been reborn this way.

even if it is reborn, it's liek a time bomb, it will explode/die anytime.

If the option is to chuck, one must be open to the possibilities..... if it dies, so be it
